The next meeting of the Book club is Tuesday, May 28 from 12:30-1:14. The book we’ve chosen is "Warlight" by Michael Ondaatje.
Good reads says “Warlight is a vivid, thrilling novel of violence and love, intrigue and desire. It is 1945, and London is still reeling from the Blitz and years of war. 14-year-old Nathaniel and his sister, Rachel, are apparently abandoned by their parents, left in the care of an enigmatic figure named The Moth…. A dozen years later, Nathaniel begins to uncover all he didn’t know or understand in that time, and it is this journey – through reality, recollection, and imagination – that is told in this magnificent novel.”
Bring your lunch if you wish and join us! The Game Room is on the bottom floor of City Hall. You can take the elevator down to the basement, then walk down the hall, go out the door and turn left. Walk to the north side of the building and turn right after you enter and the game room will be in front of you, next to the Parks and Rec office. Or park on the street and enter the side door. If you use CARSS, you can ask them to drop you off in the driveway off of Bee Street.
