"Veterinary Medicine Then & Now - from Fala to Bo and Sunny
(Faithful companions respectively of President Franklin D. and
Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt, and President and Mrs. Michelle Obama
and Family)"

Dr. Lori Drourr, Board-Certified Veterinary Cardiologist; Owner of
Veterinary Cardiology Partners.

Dr. Lori Drourr graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996. She spent 9 years working in general practice prior to returning to academia to pursue her passion for cardiology. Following her residency at Texas A & M University, she achieved board certification by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) and became a Diplomate of the ACVIM in the College of Cardiology. As a specialist she has worked in private specialty practice and as an associate professor at the University of Guelph, Ontario Veterinary College. Dr. Drourr has lectured at local and national meetings including the ACVIM, AVMA, AHAA, MCVMA, and SFVMA. She has facilitated veterinary staff trainings, and participated in building a cardiology webinar that has reached more than 2000 veterinarians worldwide. She also collaborated with the veterinarians at the San Francisco and Oakland Zoos studying dilated cardiomyopathy in meerkats.

Dr. Drourr has published articles, presented her research on cats with and without murmurs, and is a contributing author for the book, "The ABCDs of Small Animal Cardiology, A Practical Manual". Dr. Drourr is founder of Veterinary Cardiology Partners (www.veterinarycardiologypartners.com). She believes specialty cardiology care should be accessible.  She operates a unique, patient and client-centered, mobile veterinary cardiology practice in the San Francisco Bay Area. She's a veterinarian by trade, a stand up paddle-board surfer and water woman by heart.  When not listening to dog and cat hearts, Dr. Drourr can be sighted on her stand up paddleboard in the Richardson Bay.

Open to the Public.
