Our book for June is "An American Princess" by Annejet van der Zill, the story of Allene Tew, born to a pioneering family in update New York in the late 1890’s. She married into one of the wealthiest families in America. She married multiple times, weathered the crash of 1929, witnessed the Russian Revolution and became a princess. She would become “the epitome of both a pursuer and survivor of the American Dream.”
Bring your lunch if you wish and join us! The Game Room is on the bottom floor of City Hall. You can take the elevator down to the basement, then walk down the hall, go out the door and turn left. Walk to the north side of the building and turn right after you enter and the game room will be in front of you, next to the Parks and Rec office. Or park on the street and enter the side door. If you use CARSS, you can ask them to drop you off in the driveway off of Bee Street.
