Step aboard a sleek SMART train in San Rafael and discover Sonoma County without having to deal with traffic or parking. The first sight we’ll see as we step off the train on 4th Street in Santa Rosa is the gorgeous 1904 train depot building, which now houses the Santa Rosa Visitor Center / California Welcome Center. We’ll be in Santa Rosa’s historic Railroad Square district, which offers antique shops, specialty stores, restaurants, etc. with an authentic old-town ambiance and all in easy walking distance. Whistlestop Antiques (130 4 th Street) is a local favorite for a wide variety of vintage items. The renowned 6th Street Playhouse (52 W. 5 th Street) presents live theater and music in a renovated cannery building that’s more than 120 years old. Lunch options are Chevy’s, Jack and Tony’s or KhoomLanna - all on 4th Street.

 

Seniors (65 years of age or older) receive a 50 percent discount on SMART by using a discount Clipper card. Discount cards may be applied for through an online PDF application at www.ClipperCard.com/discounts or at participating transit offices. A Clipper card is necessary.

the transportation of $10 for members and $20 for non-members.  Please send cash or a check

made out to Sausalito Village to Sausalito Village, PO Box 208, Sausalito, CA 94966, with a note

indicating it is a trip fee for the trip on such and such a date.
